An inconsistency with Basecamp that drives me crazy
Can anybody explain the reasoning why the Post and Preview buttons switch sides depending on whether you are posting a message or a comment?

That’s just one of the Basecamp UI flaws that has been bugging me lately and I never get around to emailing support. They also do a poor job of visually separating elements on the page. I know they are touted as usability masters, but they may have Ryan far too stretched between their products to keep them in a more frequent state of improvement.
Now, the Blinksale UI… :)
Do you get the changing text sizes in Basecamp as well? I keep thinking it’s something buggy in my Firefox cache, ’cause I can’t come up with any good reason why a message body text should be 12px (or so) on one page (with multiple messages on one page) and then jump up to 14px on a single message page. Combine that with the screwy way headers work — an h2 is a decent size in a message, but in a comment it becomes a tiny thing with a gray background/bar that has zero margin…
I’m tempted to write my own style sheet but bah. Don’t I pay each month to not have to do that? :)
Yeah, I get the font size changes as well. Thought it was just me. I’ve also been pretty disappointed in the sloppy - or non-existent - integration between products.
I’ve been considering a switch to http://www.goplan.info; have been playing with their beta for the past few months.
