###Huh?
I’m too overwhelmed by the idea of writing full blog posts, but I’m getting increasingly upset with myself for completely neglecting this site. The compromise is a list of random memories from the past week. Some are more for me to look back and laugh on, some are to share something I learned, some are just random.
###This week I learned…
* I had this site open in a tab for a day or two, procrastinating checking it out. I thought that header graphic was a somewhat interesting photograph. Then I found out it’s not a photograph and I was in awe.
* If you accidentally place your arm on an iron, but remove it _real_ quick, you really don’t get burned too bad. It leaves a wicked mark though.
* Choosing colors is one of the hardest things about design. Especially when somebody is always looking over your shoulder, asking why your design looks like mud.
* Naming a new project (especially when it’s commercial in nature) runs a close second to choosing colors though. Thank god for IDS.
* No matter how many feeds you have set up, alerts to send you an email or newsletters subscribed to, sometimes a telephone pole is the best way to find out information. (Might only apply to live shows.)
* When buying an air conditioning window unit, you can get a smaller size and save a couple hundred bucks — you just need a few strategically placed fans to move that cold air around.
* Apparently there’s more to getting your windshield replaced than just calling the local auto-glass supplier (if you don’t want to get crappy glass). Lesson learned: try not to drive behind a truck in the mountains.
* Cintiq’s are incredibly fun to play with — can I borrow $2500?
* Everything will take 5 times longer than you want it to. (Sorry Adam.)
* The school teacher who invented Airborne (if that’s not a marketing gimmick of a story) should receive a medal. I swear it’s a magic cure-all.
